Urban is a non-denominational church which means we are not affiliated with a specific denomination or organization. A board of overseers and elders along with the pastoral oversight of the URBAN team are responsible for governing the church in a biblical manner. URBAN is a part of ARC. Click here for our statement of faith WHAT ARE COMMUNITY GROUPS? Community groups are our small groups designed for like-minded people to do life together and fulfill their dreams. We meet in peoples homes and coffee shops throughout the city. To get involved in a community group click here. DO YOU HAVE A HOMELESS MINISTRY?
URBAN does not currently have a structured homeless ministry. We recognize that there are many needs represented within the homeless population throughout the city of San Diego. Although we do not have an outreach to them we encourage our people to incorporate ministry of all types in their daily life. The Bibles says in Acts 10:38 that Jesus "went about doing good". It is our goal that each of us would go about doing good and blessing the homeless community as we see the need. We have future plans to expand this into monthly structured outreaches by partnering with those that already have great programs reaching the homeless.
