Lord Jesus,

New to being a Christ follower

Like everything in life there is a learning curve to becoming a Christ follower. It is our desire to help make that curve as short as possible. In order to do that here are a few thought and tools that will be of help to you.

-       Read your Bible daily In addition to doing the Bible Reading plan we suggest reading the Gospel of John. We recommend reading the English Standard Version or the New Living Translation

-       Talk to God everyday (pray). This can be done throughout the day or as Paul said, "pray without ceasing". It is also good to set some time aside either in the morning or at night to talk with God.

-       Join a community group. A community group is a small gathering of people from Urban. Community groups meet in homes and talk about relevant issues and discuss how having a relationship with Jesus Christ can help you with those issues. -       Use the online devotional. The online devotional is designed to accompany the Daily Bible Reading plan. It gives insight into one of or all of the passages read for that day.
